Yes I do Kathe, and it will not rub you the wrong way…However, it will rub a few folks the wrong way.
Nevertheless, “Delilah” has been insistent for at least 4-5 years that people lessen their loads..There is nothing wrong with those who have earned or inherited extreme wealth..And they are not obligated to give up their luxuries just because many others have so much less. But, “Delilah” encourages us to share with those less fortunate..This is not mandatory, it is merely a strong suggestion so as to make peoples lives a bit easier…and to teach the value of community..NOT COMMUNISM ! And the way it looks today, we are headed for forced Communism… I know that turns your stomach even more than it does mine !
For example, if you have ten loaves of fresh baked bread and I have zero, and a stranger also has zero, it would be nice for you to give me and the stranger each one loaf…providing your family will not do without…Then, when I have extra dog food I would share it with you…If the stranger has no dogs then we would surely find someone else who does..Then, the person with the dogs will find something that they have to offer, even if it is of their time and talents…and then THEY share with someone else…If by chance we encounter a person who has nothing to share, that is ok and they are treated just as kindly as everyone else…( This is not to be confused with the popular concept of ‘pay it forward’ )…
The point to all of this is that we ARE our brothers keeper and that we are all in this together…But we cannot allow ourselves to be made to feel guilty for what we have…Nor should the government have such control over us that they dictate how we live, and what we do with our money..That is OUR choice and should remain as such at all cost !!!
The first tenet of the Delilah Movement is to:
1- Care to Share if you Dare.
P.S. The Philosophical Movement suggested by “Delilah” still has no formal name as yet..but will !!!

A message to all members of The Psychic Cocktail Hour
A ‘Wise Woman’ knows that she is getting older, and that with age comes Wisdom..Wisdom does have it’s benefits, but personally, I would rather have rock hard abs and be as dumb as a doornail. That is the God’s honest truth ! As a Wise Woman I know that much is under my control, yet more is not.. Wise Women become comfortable in their own skin..Today at 55, I am more at ease with my body than I was in my younger years as a “petite model” and Bunny..( Petite models were those of us under 5’7″ ).
Not all women are ‘wise’, you know that..And our versions of the word ‘wise’ may differ from one gal to the next.. In many ways I was wiser at age 9 than I am now..but then again…
Anyhow, they say that it will be up to WOMEN to save the world..I agree in part that this is true. However, not all of us women are on the same page. I know women who think that war is an honourable & patriotic endeavor. I and many other women believe that war is an unnecessary evil that does nothing but suck the life force away from the very source of life itself. So, how can all women be lumped into the same category ? Such a thing is not only impossible, but ridiculous too !
To me, being a WOMAN means that I refuse to keep my mouth shut..I refuse to roll over and play dead..I refuse to dress like an old lady..I refuse to let anybody else’s opinion of me define who I really am..And, I refuse to hide my light under a bushel just because it’s glare makes a few people squint !
I believe that if we do not like someone it is ok to say so. I believe that if we dislike anyone from a different ethnicity than our own it does NOT mean we are a racist.. I believe that it is the ‘quiet ones’ we have to watch out for..I believe that if we do not openly discuss our differences then we become pawns in this ever-changing movement to make us all the same !
That said, I hope the ‘woman’ recently appointed to the Supreme Court remembers that she is a human being first, a woman second, and a Hispanic third.

They say that since the new administration has taken over that 90% of all war protesters have stopped protesting. Apparently complacency and oblivion are the new orders of the day.
Why is it that haters can object to Nativity scenes being displayed at Christmas time, (which harm no one), but we have all this war stuff being crammed down our throats ad nauseum (on national holidays) glorifying the killing of innocent people in other lands like their lives don’t matter ! I myself would rather see the Baby in the manger, with the 3 Wise Astrologers, beautiful Mary and gentle Joseph..rather than all this Memorial Day propaganda !
If people REALLY cared about their war heroes they would spend less time at their annual BBQ’s (where the number of slaughtered animals rises every Memorial Day) and perhaps more time volunteering at their local VA Hospitals, spending time with soldiers who by ‘doing their duty’ are permanently disabled in body, mind and/or spirit.
If the government REALLY cared about their soldiers, they would CEASE all war now ! And they would refuse to engage in pseudo ‘peace keeping missions’..Instead, they would concentrate on restoring whatever our Veterans need in terms of proper medical & dental care, and psychological and spiritual counseling. Most importantly, EACH AND EVERY Veteran would be provided with a new house or condo..And round the clock nurses to meet their every need! How anyone can look at so many of our Vets on the street with tin cups hoping to get enough money for coffee and a burger, (or a pint of something) is beyond my comprehension. Shame on America !
No, I do not nor did I ever celebrate this kind of holiday..I am looking forward to the day when this kind of holiday ceases to exist because war will be so far removed from our consciousness.
Remember, the same people that were behind Mr.Bush are behind Mr. Obama.. If that helps you sleep better at night then I would like to know your secret !

A war is a war is a war..So, regarding America’s invasion of Afghanistan ( and other lands ), they can call it anything they want ! “Peace keeping mission” or whatever else they choose to try and clean up the ugliness of what they are doing…If it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is a DAMN WAR !!! It amazes me how most Americans just sit by and do nothing..AGAIN…Perhaps war is like a little paper cut, it will go away in a few days if we just go about our business and not pay attention to it !
On a lighter note, if you eat less and move around more you will lose a pound or two !
